About

How I Started

I have always been passionate about food even from a young age, I remember in junior school we had a project to write a letter to our idols and mine was to Gary Rhodes, in response to my letter I received a signed cookbook from him, which I have treasured always.

What I became

I went on to study in catering college receiving two qualifications and holding the experience needed to continue my journey.

I had good careers in catering, and I was always learning as the years went by.

Where I Am Now

Although working as a chef in busy kitchen's I felt as if something was missing from my life, that is when I moved out of London and into the beautiful landscapes of the countryside to which my passion came alive for the first time.

Inspiration

My Inspiration has come from nature, going out on walks in the countryside foraging wildflowers, fruits, and berries to which I now grow in my own Garden.

I have always had a passion for food and made it my life goal to always cook and create new things.

Although when I moved to Dorset, I was intrigued with the wild plants, trees and fruit that were right on my doorstep.

It is interesting to know what grows around you is actually edible which has inspired me to grow these in my own garden.

Produce

I endeavour to use the freshest ingredients that are available by the seasons to ensure top quality and freshness of produce used.

Starting Something New

For me it is a new and wonderful life from being brought up in the big city to now living in the peaceful countryside.

Foraging is new and an exciting way to see what grows around you, I have experimented over the years with flavour combinations and tried these out on friends and family.

Foraging Comes with a Warning

Although foraging can lead to such wonderful discoveries and it is surprising how much of it grows around us, do not be fooled into thinking you can pick anything that looks good to eat as some of these plants are highly toxic, poisonous when consumed raw and can cause severe discomfort and illness.
