New Forest

Explore this National Park

I quite often visit the New Forest for some quiet time, there is lots to explore and things to see.

Here you will find a collection of pictures from my travels around the woods, marshland and heath.

Walking along the mud paths following the stream of water flowers of pink and blue grow making the area look spectacular.

I found these mushrooms/fungi in October as the autumn leaves had fallen and the wintery cold had started. 


I was suprised at what was growing around me, although at first it took me a long while to find any. Once I had seen one it was all I was seeing.

The moss from trees creates this blanket of foliage that spreads all over the ground making it perfect homes and hideaways for insects.

Fungus

These fungus grow almost everywhere in the woods, they are fascinating to look at.
